I lived in a small town where the mayor, chief of police, and half the town decided it wanted to rid itself of a judge. The judge was right, but the town was Mayberry and the citizens didn't like what they heard. The Sheriff chased the judge to his drive way and arrested him saying he was drunk..The judge told him he was in his drive way, and was not drunk..so the Sheriff called the Chief of Police, who also called the Mayor...They all showed up and tried to put cuffs on the judge. He resisted, so they then had him for drunk and disorderly... Anyhow the trial went on and became more back woods as it went along, until the truth came out that the Mayor, Sheriff and Chief of Police had all set him up..He hadn't had a drink that night, and the local "Jame's Bond" hopefuls were in his yard with rifles. They didn't like his politics!
