MQ - M3 Money supply was ramped up in 94-95, 5-6 years before the reign of George II. Scroll down to the graph of M3 and the SP500 in the following link.

I made a couple of financing trips to New York in '99. At the time my impression was that Manhattan was like a row-boat filled with so much money that it was taking in water over the gunwhales. All that money searching for the next best thing... Hard to believe that the easy money of the '90s wasn't, at least in part, caused by the post '94 ramp-up in M3.

You're right about inflation. It hasn't happened because the US has exported its inflation to the rest of the world. If there is a $US crash, those dollars come home to roost - that's when we'll see inflation.
