Well...I used Zicam both ways....I first started using it as a preventative this year when several people where I work started getting colds. I'd use it whenever I was going to be around them or when family came to visit and were sick. That kind of ended up in my taking it once or even twice a day since then, since there have been so many people sick with colds this year.

I picked up some more at Walgreens this evening and found it in a really large display that was virtually empty, so sales appeared good....at least here.

Your logic makes sense that for it to prevent a cold that you'd have to take it all of the time. Guess I'll just go back to just taking it when I feel I'm coming down with a cold.
