Looks like Sharon is in deep do do.

Nobody will know how much until the election. The charges against Sharon don't look like much in themselves, though of course Ha'aretz is trumping them for all they're worth, and NYT and WaPo follow Ha'aretz; but to have such charges raised three weeks before an election, when the Likud party is itself already in deep doo doo for the corrupt way it managed the party primary, is not good. Ha'aretz of course hopes any votes that Likud loses will go to labor, but I don't think so; Shinui will be the biggest benefactor, with only small pieces going to Labor, Meretz or Shas.
