The 2nd Advanced Automotive Battery Conference, which took place in Las Vegas Feb 4-7, 2002, attracted 340 attendees from all over the world. Panel session discussions highlighted the critical role of battery life and cost in the marketability of advanced vehicles. The strengths and weaknesses of VRLA, NiMH, Li Ion, and Ultracapacitors and their value propositions for this market were dissected by speakers and attendees representing car companies and battery developers from three continents.
