AS: You may be right...Yet, the UNintended consequences of going to war to secure oil fields may be incredible. The Bush Administration may provide Al Qaeda (enemy #1) with some new reasons to recruit and attack. Nothing like Hyper-focussing on Iraq and providing Al Qaeda with all kinds of possibilities.

Of course I haven't mentioned the potential economic impact of going to war -- if things don't go well it could push the fragile U.S. economy into a recession and ruin Bush's legacy forever.
