CALGARY, Jan. 9 /CNW/ - Flag's Director Mr. Edwin Bauer reports:
Flag Resources (1985) Limited has contracted Mr. Simon Brooksbank,
President and Director of Brooksbank Management Services Inc., to complete an
evaluation of existing Flag properties in the Wanapitei Anomaly and to assist
Flag in marketing non-core assets.
Mr. Brooksbank is a seasoned mining professional with over 30 years'
experience in the international and consulting and operational management
fields. He graduated from the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College of
Science and Technology, London University, UK with a B.Sc. (Eng), Mining, and
is currently a member in good standing with the Association of Professional
Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta.
Prior to starting his own management services company in 1999,
Mr. Brooksbank was the Manager of International Mining for AGRA Monenco Inc.,
Calgary where he directed multi-disciplinary teams on numerous mining related
feasibility studies, conceptual designs, due diligence assignments and
optional advisory projects both in Canada and abroad. During the 1970's
Mr. Brooksbank worked for Inco for 8 years in various roles at Copper Cliff,
Sudbury, Indonesia (as Chief Mining Engineer, P.T. International Nickel,
Soroaka, Indonesia) and Head Office, Toronto, Ontario.
Flag is very pleased that Brooksbank Management Services has decided to
join our team and assist Flag in identifying opportunities to increase
shareholder value. Mrs. Maureen Bauer will provide administrative assistance
for this project.
This project will be supervised by Flag's Director Mr. Edwin Bauer and
will commence immediately. The first two months will focus on property
rationalization. Marketing efforts will begin once Flag's Board of Directors
have approved the marketing plan jointly submitted by Brooksbank Managerial
Services and Flag's President, Mr. Murdo C. McLeod.
