Bill,

I agree it's not just for "small" web sites, but I would be interested in knowing what platform MSFT's site is running on? I'd bet it's not a P5-133 single processor PC. I was speaking to fact that there will be more internal web sites with far less hits than 15 million a day, say 1000-2000 hits per day. These many 1000's if not millions of sites don't require quad processor Alpha 200+Mhz, or Sun Sparc Ultra's to dish out a couple thousand hits per day. In terms of volume (or money) MSFT will ship NT with all the things needed to build these types of sites.

So again my point is for every web site using a Sparc/Netscape server there will probably be a 100 times as many running NT on a "small" PC. NT will scale better in the future and Intel will bring more multiprocessor systems to market and I think we know who's backyard that will compete in.

Once again MSFT will have a volume factor working in it's favor. I'm long MSFT and have been for three years, and I hope to be for thirty more. Thanks, Uncle BillG!
