If "God" (as uniquely conceived by Solon) is going to be "replaced", it is going to have to be with something.....yes?

As I understand the issue, God is generally defined as the conscious force that has somehow created the universe and all that is in it. Then, opinions differ as to whether or not he still manages things or if he has left us to our own devices...

So anyone who is wondering whether God should be replaced, in my humble opinion, should have an inquisitive mind, and frankly, I cannot see that in people who believe in such voodoo as numerology, let alone ludicrous and completely unsubstantiated claims such as "19. Massive worldwide sightings and crashes of UFOs due to the disruption of their cloaking and propulsion systems", "20. Things in the invisible realm becoming visible due to the alteration of the visible light spectrum being altered by new wave forms of energy" that they read on some website.

That is why I asked Mr Smart here why he was hanging out here.

"Simulations of God". Here are some of his chapter titles

I am familiar with some of those philosophies - namely, "I am God" & "The Simulation". Some others are jesting, I suppose, like "God as Sex" and "God as Humour". Or they are talking about some other meaning of God that I am not yet aware of.

I see from your recommendations that you are perhaps a devotee of science

Hm. Strange way to put it. I would say that I am a rational human being who does not believe in anything without proof, and there is no proof to the existence of God. In fact, strip away your cultural conditioning and belief in God is quite difficult to distinguish from the belief in the existence of witches in the Middle Ages - people believed in witchcraft with no proof whatsoever, because everyone they know believed in it.

Of course all of this is my humble opinion. I do not wish to offend anyone whose belief system completely accepts the existence of the omnipotent, omniscient, and benevolent God. It just does not appear so obvious to me.
