Hi DAK:

>>Besides, I thought one was SUPPOSED to maximally exploit the free enterprise system?<<

Absolutely. Yes. That is the invisible hand of capitalism. Individual economic actions of maximal self interest leading to favorable macroeconomic outcomes.

I was just pointing out the incongruity of Raymond's panting, girlish admiration for Jon Corzine. Forgive my cynicism, but in my experience it's not possible to get to the top of Goldman Sachs (or Morgan Stanley, or etc., etc, etc.) without at the very list having ethics that are situationally flexible.

So, Raymond has spent a couple of years establishing himself on SI as the #1 raving nutter communist revolutionary and now, all of a sudden, he has "great admiration" for Jon Corzine. I guess it just goes to show that, if you can find the right message, it's possible to suck in any demographic segment, up to and including the Montana - sorry Oregon - black helicopter crowd.
