I agree with your post.

But capitalism is an imperfect system. I think the biggest problem right now is the lag time between business innovation and the laws trying to keep up. You cant deceive the investing public and get away with it, if a capitalistic system is to succeed. But now a days the innovation of deception is moving very fast, ie. derivatives, offshore shell companies, defined benefits pension fund accounting etc etc and the legal system has been caught trying to catch up. Unfortunately, by the time they do catch up, the accountants and financial innovators will have come up with something new.
