I'm not against all timber-cutting, just the big-time offenders. And you know how they sneak in when they can and leave nothing but a field of stumps. This kind of thing just totally destroys entire areas of wild-lands. Even in Glen Canyonm which was clear-cut more than 100 years ago the forests have never grown back. next you you go to Yosemite drive on to the less protected canyons and be shocked by how frigging sad and ugly it is. 100 years ago it all seemed infinite but these days we really have to guard our resources. And Bush is undoing decades of protections as fast as he can get away with it.
