Hi Jay

Re N. Korea

The U. S. is engaged in ex officio talks with N. Korea and things will be worked out. I think the fact that the parties involved had brought China into negotiations has the administration concerned about losing control of the situation.

Re Iraq

Support for a war was always soft and is fading rapidly here and in Great Britain. Outright and loud opposition is growing. I took a close look at maps and the area and geopolitics of the potential engagement. If I were a Marine General and I did not have assurances that the Iraqi army was compromised I would say no go. I would bet, being an ex marine and knowing the attitude of the military since Vietnam, that the joint chiefs are agreeing with me.

You have converted me to a guy that says "How do I make or keep money if I am correct". My bet is still on Qcom over gold.

Jim
