People seem to forget that the market crash was well under way when Bush took office.

If you choose to blame a president for current state of the economy, the only one who it makes sense to blame is Clinton. But I think that we would have had some sort of bubble without Clinton as well. Though I think it would have been a bit less severe. The economy that was in place when Bush Jr. took office was diseased.
