Scott, congratulations on having the presence of mind to change your portfolio. As you pointed out, there is a continuum between choosing low priced high-risk stocks and acting as a "prudent investor"; while trying to win a contest. Where the bar is set on the risky-prudent continuum is subjective. We will not get to the bottom of that well, but thank you for changing your port so that we don't have to do so.

I hope I have not insulted you, or others, for having no belief in God. I merely meant to say that I cannot give money to an organization that promotes atheism. The fault (if any) is mine, not yours.

On the subject of atheism, I am agnostic. I do not say you are wrong, I only say that I can't support it. There are others here who cannot support atheism, and they are not necessarily Christian.

You have changed your portfolio. Can you also designate a charity that will not engender such strong emotions? There are so many wide-target organizations, and most of them render their services without regard to religion. For example, the pioneer organization in vocational rehabilitation (my original field) is Jewish Employment Services, which offers their services on a non-sectartian basis. No need to take my recommendation, there are thousands of charitable organizations, and most aim not to exclude any potential beneficiary nor donor.

Finally, Mike Murphy is going to lose his pledge, like all the rest of us. He has had to spend more than enough time on this series of challenges and counter-challenges. He spends his time for _less-than_ free, expecting to lose the amount of his pledge. Is it possible that he could be spared any more moderator duties on this subject?

Could you please just designate a non-controversial charity, so that we can spend some time on our subject? (For those who have lost track, our subject is Biotech Stock Picking.)
