Having said all that, when the Dems. propose the end of private production and the owning of private property, then you'll have an argument; otherwise, your comments are nothing more than silly gossip intended to malign. Unfortunately, I suspect many conservatives believe its all true.

Socialism is a continuum from more to less. Someone who greatly reduces the ownership of private property
is supporting the cause of socialism and I think it would be accurate to call them a socialist. They don't have to
eliminate it. Also if the government controls the means of production without actually owning it that would also
be a socialist scheme. If everything that the produces or goods and services do is controled by tight regulations
and then they have to give a large percentage of their profit to the state that is at least leaning towards socialism
even if it is not an example of total socialism (but if you demand socialism be total they you can find no
examples)
