I agree with your analysis of how the economy was behaving during the elections. In fact, it's a given. And I also agree that 9/11 certainly complicated everything we know precious and dear, even the economy.

But I've never been a trickle-down freak. Don't think it works. The better sustained the individual the more power within that individual to participate in consumer markets. The more consumers in the market, more the need for jobs and the greater becomes the advertising for those products. Competition then gets better. More the jobs making more products that are actually being consumed, the greater the profits all around and the healthier is the individual and the economy to which that individual resides.
