China's exports grew by more than 22 percent last year to top US$300 billion, while its trade surplus widened to more than US$30 billion, state media reported Friday. Surging exports, especially to the United States and Japan, have helped China defy the global slowdown, with the government is projecting economic growth this year of 8 percent.
