I like Wright, too, but his buildings aren't right for every place and every purpose.

Plus which, his roofs leak.

My husband is from Chicago, and took me to see the Wright buildings, including the Wright family residence, in Oak Park, Illinois. The beds in the master bedroom are narrow and built into the wall, separate walls across the room from each other. Not conducive to intimacy.

I agree with Frank that Gehry's buildings have a charmingly playful quality to them.

On the other hand, playfulness can become tiresome.

I used to prefer Louisiana-creole style architecture, and long for an old fashioned Louisiana style house. After years of living in Virginia, I no longer find Federal style houses ugly, and now find Louisiana style houses overdone.
