Fed had one large 1-day net misses in reserve projections Thu January 9, 2003 04:37 PM ET NEW YORK, Jan 9 (Reuters) - The Federal Reserve said on Thursday it had one large one-day net misses in its reserve projections. The miss occured on January 2, when Treasury deposits with Fed banks and Fed liabilities changes were lower than anticpiated, and currency in circulation was greater than anticipated, resulting in higher reserves than expected. Transportation float averaged about $750 million per day, with the highest on Friday, January 3, at about $1.3 billion, due to inclement weather in the Midwest and Northeast.
