Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, and especially General Statutes Section 1-210(a), I write to request the opportunity to inspect whatever public records or files, as defined in General Statutes Section 1-200(5), comprise your department’s file concerning the December 4, 1998 death of Suzanne Jovin and the investigation of the circumstances surrounding that death. These public records and files include all such public records and files filed by your counsel with the Freedom of Information Commission for in camera review in FIC No. 2001-131 and 2001-147 and also all records and files prepared, owned, used, received or retained by your department since February 1, 2001.

I seek to conduct this inspection during your regular office or business hours, and reserve the right to seek copies of records or files in this manner provided by statute.

I should appreciate your contacting me within the time and in the manner prescribed by statute to advise me when I might come to your office to begin my inspection.
