Well my thrust is against the notion as expressed in this post:

The cost of a reparations debate will be the emergence of a new racism aimed at blacks, and, most likely, a race war, which the blacks will lose, by a very wide margin.

If the mere debate will cause a race war, then we are finished.

But even if reparations are implemented the lives of all blacks should not be threatened because clearly quite a number of blacks are fighting reparations on the American principle you have mentioned. If whites will murder blacks because liberal blacks have successfully used government to interpret law to their favor, America is still finished. The nation will not always look as it does currently, and neither will the world. We should take care to establish principles for civilization, else the barbarism we champion today will harm us tomorrow.
