Why would that be? Al Qaeda certainly will rear its ugly head again, and the public will come running back, saying "Save me. I never should have listened to the wussy dems. Save me"

The simple fact is that without Iraq, it will take a lot longer to win the war on terrorism, and the longer that war goes on, the longer the reps. rule. Secondly, the war could very well be fought in America, on their terms, not ours, and the damage could be substantial; does Chechnyia sound familiar to you. So be careful what you wish for, you just may get it.
