<<Michael Murphy's voice screams volumes, once again, by its absence>>

Ron:

Seems as if you omitted this first private email to me from the ones you have posted publicly. It is out of your scientific character for you to publish data selectively. Consider the omission rectified.

Perhaps comity was too subtle: For the record, I think that neither atheist nor Catholic charities are appropriate for the contest. I'm sure that one could think of others.

Sorry for the delay,
Michael

Michael:
Polemical nonsense?
Rick Harmon buys a zillion shares of a $1.40 stock and you continue to genuflect?
If that's 'Polemical nonsense' you certainly have spot with Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, and Clinton in putting the spin on tops!
And as moderator (another term I use extremely loosely in this case) you don't even have the decency to contact me, discuss the issue in a civilized (AND PRIVATE) atmosphere prior to determining that your judgement of a public space reigns supreme, dissenting (or simply 2nd-) opinions notwithstanding.
And prior to my advocating contributions to Atheist organizations, if someone had suggested Catholic Charities, you KNOW you wouldn't have had a problem with that.
And you KNOW that's what this boils down to Michael. YOU CAN'T TAKE THE HEAT FROM SOMEONE WANTING TO CONTRIBUTE TO AN ATHEIST ORGANIZATION! You cast this in the light of my UNVC-related stuff, blame it on my 'Polemical nonsense' blah blah blah but it ain't that at all.
You simply can't handle the heat from the response to my contributions to Atheist clubs. FULL STOP.
All the other blather in that rambling pedantic post is just BS excuses for your own weak knees, your insipid character. You did some serious caving dude and it's written ALL OVER THAT POST. And everyone but yourself sees it in living color.
You have a very distinct choices:
1. Acknowledge that while my behavior is 'bothersome' and my beliefs may be 'deeply troubling' to many, they hurt NO ONE and my thoughts have as much right to heard as your own. Trust me Michael, if you return to the thread with a 'On second thought...' post, you will gain a hell of a lot of more respect than that cacophony you posted moments ago. And I promise I will respond in kind to your retraction.
2. You will stand your ground, muffle uncomfortable voices about Atheism etc. and remain steadfast in your determination to enforce these new rules.. rules that you never dreamed you would need AND RULES THAT YOU DON'T NEED.
Listen Michael, you're acting like a dictator rather than a moderator: if you would have come to me privately, we could have discussed this, both giving some ground etc. That's what a MODERATOR does. A fascist turns off the power and proclaims my way or no way.
What's it gonna be Michael?
Best wishes,
Scott/Ron Hellendall
