How about if the judge called the plaintiff a nigger?

That would be a strong sign that the judge was a racist. If you can find an example where he did this, or better yet a pattern of doing this then I will concede that he is a racist.

Would that convince you or would you have to hear him say it before you
would believe it?


I could hear him say it or have it reported by multiple sources. Hearing him or having multiple sources for the story is only to establish the facts. If we assume the facts where along the lines of your hypothetical I would not have to personally be in the court room to reach a conclusion that he was racist.
