That is far from getting is straight.

You argued that the large burden of taxes means that being allowed to legally avoid them amounts to a subsidy. My point is that the level of taxation is irrelevant. If the government spends $1 or $10tril. dollars the principle is the same. The government getting large and greedy still doesn't mean the money is the government's or that it is being generous and providing subsidies if it lets you keep some. The money is no more the government's then your money is mine. I feel like I should stop subsidizing you, why don't you send me a check for your entire net worth...
