LL, this does sound like an interesting device, but I'm not sure I understand what the device would be used for. Would the x86 core be integrated with MPACT and sold as the main processor for a PC that handles "multimedia" functions? Or is the x86 core added solely as a coprocessor to support MPACT, so that it acts as a standalone multimedia processor and does not burden the main CPU in a PC or consumer device?

What about the cost and power consumption of such a device?

Thanks,
BillyG
