I had a teacher who was probably openly gay. He didn't tell us (his students) he was gay, just as straight teachers don't feel the need to say "Hey, guess what, I'm straight!", but he was picked up from work by his significant other. He was one of the best teachers I had in high school. I don't care what sexual orientation my children's teachers have, I just hope their teachers will be enthusiastic, smart, compassionate and caring.
