TALKING seriously about slavery reparations has the cost of lost credibility and sympathy.

Fine. But it should never have the cost of lost life (!) in a friggin’ race-war. We are Americans, not blinking savages. We can tell those who advocate reparations that their ideas are stupid and that until they come up with a better reparative approach they will not be taken seriously. That is just fine and most American. But your “prediction” of a race-war in the event of a reparations debate suggests we have a problem much much MUCH bigger than mere reparations. The reparations issue just happens to put a finger on the problem.

It has the cost of forcing everyone to view the talker as apart, and forming their OWN opinions (using their OWN freedoms) about their hostility toward society, and thus their reliability as Americans.

Dear me, this dog not only will not hunt, it is friggin’ dead! If blacks wish merely to debate the issue and put their ideas in the marketplace, they should certainly not be deemed anymore hostile to society than those who advocate murdering unborn kids. Well dang, not only do we have such advocates but we now also have such advocates who have been successful. Blacks should certainly not be threatened should they debate such a relatively goofy issue like reparations. There is just no justification for it, Ken.

If whites should slaughter blacks merely for debating an idea, they would be wrong, completely friggin’ wrong and the blacks would be completely friggin’ innocent.

Forcing implementation of slavery reparations has a COST also. It is far greater, far more damning, and far more permanent.

I agree, but no one is talking about “forcing” anything. We are talking about debating the issue. You claim a race-war would result even from that. That is sick maaan.

Talk, create a movement, and succeed. But accept the implications of those three steps. Don't come crying to me when the end result is grossly undesirable: I DIDN'T MAKE THE CHOICE-YOU DID!...

Well I wouldn’t come to you for a dang thing Ken because I doubt you would have moral conscience to help, especially since you apparently cannot see the clear horror and wrong of those who you "predict" would wage a race-war against blacks should the blacks debate an idea. If your position is correct, then America is seriously messed up and the fault is not with blacks, reparations or not. We should therefore discuss this dang problem because it is the problem that threatens us most.
