>>The trend is towards people sending their children to the UK and Australia as their destination<<
Sounds like upper middle class Brazilian anecdotal evidence to me, not statistics. Legal immigration into the US is about 1,000,000 people per year - illegal immigration is estimated at 500,000 per year. Net immigration into the UK is about 200,000 per year, with about 400,000 arriving and 200,000 leaving. Net immigration into Australia is also about 200,000 per year.
>>due to the US fears of foreigners<<
Well, it's fair to say that we fear Saudi Arabian foreigners with one way tickets and no checked baggage, but otherwise this is ridiculous. The US loves foreigners - we send them green paper and they send us cars, stereos, DVD players, coffee, lumber, etc. What's not to love? |
