I nearly bought fives acres on the Clackamas river across from one of the closed lumber mills in Estacada in 97. When I left South Korea I was job hunting in Portland, but my offers came from Washington and California. I took the Washintgon job as I knew I'd be selling about 300-400K in stock and didn't want to share the money with some states tax man.
