Grey Davis was a victim of character assasination by GOP. Enron and their buddies paid for the massive TV campaign during the energy crisis, 5 million bucks in TV ads trying to hang their own crimes on Davis. Yes Enron duped Davis and everyone else in those days, but now that we know what a big fraud Enron was why blame its victims? Texas now also has a huge deficit but you dont see the GOP operatives calling for that Republican governor to step down. And why would Texas have a 10 billion debt with energy prices so high? Now that is mis-management. Texas never got taken to the cleaners by the energy companies. They should have a surplus now.
