Gottfried, re: WMAR technicals...

My candlestick forecasting program indicates a "Three River Morning White Doji Star" on the WMAR weekly chart. This is a chart formation pattern based upon the past three weeks trading activities. It is composed of a big down week, followed by a week with a narrow trading range, then followed by a big up week. This formation is a very (I hate to use that word - "strong" might be a better choice of adjectives) bullish signal! In addition, stochastics are set-up for a rise.

On the daily chart, things aren't so clear. There are no real patterns to speak of, in terms of candlestick formations. However, the stochastics look bad - indicating a set-up for a possible short-term drop (within the next week or so).

Nothing in the candlestick technicals indicates any further major drop. Looks to me like a good place to do one of two things - either take a short-term profit now, possibly picking it up lower within a week or two. Or hang in there for a few more months and ride out the little downdrafts.

Looks to me like you are facing two appealing choices...take a profit now, or take a profit later. Anytime is a good time to take a profit in my book.

Take all this with the proverbial "grain of salt" as MrB would say - I'm just a beginner at this TA stuff.

BTW, do you have any idea what caused WMAR's big drop on July 10th?
