Today, for example, a law takes effect to let victims of domestic violence apply for benefits without producing a police report.
I'm going to file my claim today. I could use some more money. Can't we all?

Rafaela Vara-Waltz, a Turlock therapist who is one of about 40 providers for Stanislaus County victims program participants, said she would stop seeing patients if payments dried up.

"As much as we want to help, we need to survive and eat," Vara-Waltz said. "I would like to provide services to victims, but if it comes to the point where we don't get paid, I'm not willing to do it for free."

Now that's a very unliberal attitude. I would think she would welcome the opportunity to help out the poor and downtrodden.

Must be a Republican.

A beautiful example of the practice of liberal victimology. Thanks.
