Who could have predicted the fraudulent energy crisis?
And who could have stopped it? Did any governor anywhere? You have to understand, the Enron crowd was in the hoodwinking business. They were the masters. They spent 100 million on lobbyists and politicians in their last three years. They had Bush-Cheney on their side. They were the president's #1 contributors. And they dozens of Senators and congressmen too, Democrats like Lieberman included. And they hid their real practices so well we STILL have not put Ken Lay in jail. Perhaps the biggest crook in US history. Though I might add, the fix with the White House may be in. I very much doubt Bush wants Kenny Lay to take the stand. He may be blackmailing the WHite House. Arrest me and I'll talk. Since Lay was running illegal Bush campaign activities out of his offices (plus a lot more) that could bring down the Bush white house if nothing else does.
