Hello Peter,

I've been on the road lately, but wanted to add to your comment. You said:

It is much more wide spread than the sales reps. This thread seemed to miss a very good article this/last week at:

techweb.com

In this article is the follow quote (which I really like!)
=========================================================
"We had some firewall-type security in Proxy Server 1.0. We need this security in 2.0," said Lloyd Spencer, Microsoft's group product manager of networking and communications. A beta is due this month, with a final product slated to ship this fall, he said.

Spencer declined to discuss feature specifics, but he did say the enhancements will be in security and performance.

"If you look at Netscape [Communications Corp.'s] Proxy Server and Novell [Inc.'s] BorderManager, you'll see where we're headed. We're providing more Web caching and extensibility," he said.
=======================================================

Yeah ... that's it ... we're going to do what they're doing ... yeah ... that's it!

I wonder if this guy got a threat on his job just for mentioning our name! It's nice to see that a group product manager understands who is setting the base-line of functionality for networking products. And he's willing to admit it!

I know that many people on this thread want to see more ... but I like what I'm starting to see!
