Support for Israel has resulted in what Buchanan calls the "ingratitude and the enmity of the Arab world." Buchanan ignores the fact that the whole of the Arab world is ruled by dictators and despots, and that the ire of the Arab population there has all to do with a propaganda machine that redirects the peoples energy away from the miserable totalitarianism they live under to Israel. Buchanan is asleep at the wheel, imo, when he compares the Bush administration's decision not to fund a bankrupt airline, with efforts to save a U.S.- friendly nation. I'll side with Israel any day before I side with the America's ally Saudi Arabia.
