I would have much preferred he looked at individual cases before commuting everyone but there is no doubt that there were and are people on death row who were innocent. I believe he only pardoned 4 who were proven innocent is that correct? And then just commuted everyone else to life? Personally I have no problem with getting rid of the death penalty if life truly meant life as in you leave here in a hearse. In WI I think I read somewhere that the average life sentence is about 13 years served and that is obscene.
