It's encouraging news. It means Kabul regains the monopoly on printing money. Collecting guns, reforming the currency, building the army. Not bad after a year, especially in Afghanistan.

Indeed.. Now actually economic investment can take place, where money can be put to work, and profits reinvested or converted into other currencies.

But it's still not going to be easy.. The Poppy growers are resuming their former place of power in the illicit economy, and that will have to be dealt with.
