So long as Iraqi oil pays for our war expenses, I'll be satisfied. Who cares whether Cheney's friends make a buck or two? Not me. Someone will have to do the work, it might as well be people who are capable.

Do you think your friends are qualified to find, produce, and market oil? If they are, I have no objection to giving them a cut, too, but I somehow don't think your buddies could do the job.

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of Iraqi oil paying for the war. It will serve as a useful deterrent against future bad behavior in the ME. For example, if the Saudis believe in their hearts that we'll seize their oil fields if they don't stop financing terrorism, I suspect that their behavior will change. A few bombs over Muammar Qaddafi's odd headgear certainly did the trick.

They understand and respect that kind of behavior.
