Jim-you are absolutely correct, and that is why Vivus is a buy.

Let's do this again: The nature of this stock at this point is that it is extremely vulnerable to announcements regarding the progress of competitive products like Viagra. This is because that portion of stock which is not closely held, the 'float' is in WEAK hands. If you have only a superficial understanding of the market, you might easily conclude that Viagra will kill the MUSE market, and any positive Viagra news could scare you out. This is EXACLY what happened to VVUS this week, along with complementary help from a weak drug stock market.

IMHO, those of you who are looking for an entry point are looking a gift-horse in the mouth if you don't pounce on this buying opportunity. Previously overcome heavy resistance at 25-26 will provide a base of support.
