CWG observes that the concept of "karma" is a fundamental misconception of most eastern traditions just as the concept of "salvation" is in most western traditions. Both arise from attempts to solve the so-called "Problem of Evil". But if Evil is a conditional construct then it should be plain that there is need for neither karma nor salvation in the eyes of God.

Yet is it still true that for everything there are consequences which flow naturally from choices made, for choice is the mechanism whereby we create the reality of our experience. Moreover, if one believes that consciousness/experience does not end at death then it follows that neither do consequences for they are an inseparable aspect of our reality.

Hence the miracle of forgiveness. As we forgive others so to do we forgive ourselves. And it is by such free acts of self-forgiveness that "karma" is seen as illusory.
