I would characterize the urge to destroy entire countries that "oppose" us as hatred. I'm sure you've seen the "nuke 'em all" posts; I object to that sentiment. I also think people who are willing to call other Americans enemies because they express different sorts of ideas, is a form of hatred, and nationalism (of a very narrow minded and limited kind). When I talk about hatred, I mean hatred, I don't mean flag waving.
