There was no UN before WW2.

There was the League of Nations. But the US was not a member, so why would it be involved in its activities?

AND I thought France and Britain were supposed to enforce the terms of the Versailles Treaty.

While were at it, why CAN'T Europeans clean up their own messes? Why did nothing happen in the Balkans until the US stepped up?
