That teacher is either a dope or is blinded by bigotry. The King James version of the Old Testament is some of the most beautiful literature in the English language. "consider the fowl of the air" reads a lot better than "look at the birds" like so many modern translations have it. It makes you think of some guy with a Brooklyn accent... Or how about the changing of "my cup runneth over" to "my cup is spilling"....? Any English teacher should recognize the great literature that is in the King James Bible.
