Could someone please explain the definition of ITU-T standard to me? I understand that Rockwell K56flex & U.S.Robotics x2 are not compatable and that they are direct competetors for 56k standard. I am GUESSING that ITU-T standard has something to do with International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the Geneva-based 187-nation regulatory agency. Is ITU-T a 3rd standard? Or is it the winner of K56flex - x2 competition?

Thanks
Dan
