Re: "So far, I still cling to my initial theory, that is, Russia as the key mastermind of 911 with Israel as its main auxiliary."
How so and why?
Because competing/surrogate theories are much less satisfactory, imo. Do you recall Gen. Hamid Gul's take on 911? Well, General Gul is the former head of Pakistani secret service and, in a Washington Times interview, he said that 911 was a US Air force plot against the (US) government... Such a wild conspiracy theory fits in with the French precedent, that is, OAS/Algerian war. However, there're TWO flaws in that theory: it doesn't explain the "suicide" factor in the WTC assaults (likewise, OAS terrorists never carried out suicide attacks on French targets), and it doesn't take into account Russia's elimination of Ahmad Shah Masoud --somehow the kicker of 911.
But then, other disturbing details still point to 911 as a "homespun operation": for instance, the presence of Barbara Olson aboard flight 77 (shot down before it reached a densely populated area). It's hard to call it a mere coincidence. But let's sort out the "homespun plot" theory: in that case, the perpetrators are supposed to be Zionist extremists within the US military/intelligence who are disatisfied with the Bush administration's policy in the Mideast, right? Hence they contrive a terrorist plot against the US heartland that will look like an Arab/Muslim outrage... Well, these Zionist fanatics must have been extremely optimistic/confident about the overall success of their ploy because they knew they were not going to survive it... So they must have been certain that, after their suicide crashes, US intelligence wouldn't tell the world that 911 was just another instance of insane terrorism by American lunatics like Timothy McVeigh. I guess it's a basic feature of any false-flagging/provocateur scheme --it stops short of giving one's life for it.
Then there's the Masoud factor: as I've said repeatedly, Putin's gambit in terminating Masoud lay in providing Russia with a pretext to (re-)invade Afghanistan. Putin would have pretended that the Taleban's successful killing of Masoud had deprived Afghanistan of its ultimate bulwark against Islamic fanaticism and imperiled Russia's vital interests in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, etc. In short, if Masoud had not been killed on September 9th, 2001 then the case for a purely domestic machination would have been stronger/plausible... But the assassination of Masoud is THE smoking gun that links 911 to Russia/FSB.
Now, why the need to lump Mossad in the 911 rogues' gallery? Because I think that, when it comes to training Tajik/Uzbek underlings to pilot Boeing aircraft, Russia's FSB has the capability to do it all on its own. Remember FSB's Tajik spymaster Victor Bout? That guy (still?) operates a fleet of Boeing 737/727s. Then, there were several hijacks in the region (Turkey, Afghanistan, Caucasus) that occured only months before 911 --I think they were life-sized rehearsals of 911... However, the FSB lacked the ability to NEUTRALIZE US counterintelligence and that's where Mossad came in. It's one thing to train Tajik hijackers to fly Boeing airliners, quite another to successfully sneak them into the US...
Finally, I'd like to stress that the White House's spoof on the Pennsylvania crash and the Pentagon doesn't mean that 911 was a conspiracy devised by the cynical brains of "the US government" --it's merely damage control, and even "panic control". The authorization to shoot down US civilian airliners (to avoid a higher death toll) will likely remain classified for the next 50 years.
