I'm not sure if the dynamics are the same this time as last, of course defeating the Iraqi army will not be that big of a deal this time, unless wmd's are used this time, Saddam will know he has nothing to lose. The Oil fields very well may be the first Saddam casualty this time, if he follows his scorched earth policy.
And, Last time it was clear to the mid-east that we had no occupation desires. And, I almost no one had heard of AlQuida back then, their ranks will surely benefit from occupation of Iraq. Also last time world opinion was in favor of a war, not so now. I'm thinking all these factors will play into the stock markets reaction.
