I suppose if you have only tasted Bud, Lite and Michelobe.

On the other hand, one assumes that there are better examples of "real" Canadian beer than LaBatt (with the possible exception of Labatt 50), Moosehead and Molsen.

As for Canadian microbrew or craftbrewed beer, is there some Canadian law that requires them all to taste like rotting fruit? Who wants a "fruity beer?" I guess the Canadians do.

I'll put a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale up against any ale in the world.
