What part of "It's not Washington's money." do you STILL fail to understand?

>>> I only wish that it wasn't the American public who was going to have to eat the national deficit... (either through debasement of the currency, higher taxes, lower growth rates and lower savings rates... or all three!)

>>> I only wish it 'WAS Washington's deficit', and it was going to bite THEM in the ass instead of me and nearly everyone else.

>>> Only, that ain't true: most of those Washington scam artists will be long gone when the pain hits.

>>> Washington's problem: those gutless wonders can't cut spending and they can't come up with an honest and simple tax system!

>>> They are OK to hand out sugar cookies (mostly to the groups they favor), but for the life of them THEY CAN'T REFORM THE OBSCENE MESS OUR TAX CODE HAS BECOME, and they can't cut their spendthrift way.!

As O'Neill put it: ...He called the current tax code "an abomination ... there's no single human being who understands it all." Due to the tax code's complexity, he estimated that roughly $200 billion a year goes uncollected and an additional $200 billion a year is spent by businesses and individuals to comply with the tax rules."
